1. Information We Collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and name for authentication purposes.
As you use Notework, we store practice data including drill sessions, scores, and spaced-repetition card states so the app can track your progress and schedule reviews.
If you use Song Mode, we store MIDI files you upload so you can practice them across sessions.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate you and maintain your session
- To save and display your practice history and progress
- To power the spaced-repetition engine with your performance data
- To store and serve your uploaded MIDI files for Song Mode
- To improve the product based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns
3. Cookies and Local Storage
Notework uses session cookies to keep you logged in. We also use browser local storage to remember your preferences (such as input method and theme).
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
4. Analytics
We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how features are used and to identify areas for improvement. PostHog may collect anonymized usage data such as page views and feature interactions. No personal data is shared with advertisers.
5. Hosting and Infrastructure
Notework is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Your data is processed and stored using Cloudflare's infrastructure, including D1 (database) and R2 (file storage). Cloudflare's own privacy practices apply to the infrastructure layer. You can review them at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. We only share data with service providers necessary to operate Notework (such as Cloudflare for hosting and PostHog for analytics).
7. Data Retention
Your account data and practice history are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data will be removed from our systems within a reasonable timeframe.
